We’re about 2 hours east of Lewiston, Idaho, 4 hours north of Boise; 4 hours west of Missoula; 4 hours south of Cour de Lane; 4 hours north east of Walla Walla; 8 hours east of Portland; 13 hours north of Sacramento, 31 hours west of Lousville, KY, 18 hours east of Bangkok (by air, that is).

Here are several (printable) static maps to get an idea where we are.

Here’s a link to an interactive Google map for local directions.

And if you have a broadband connection and Google Earth® (get it here), you can right-click here to download this file to your hard drive. Then open it in Goodgle Earth to get a satellite view of the earth in 3D. Very cool.

Directions for driving from Lewiston:
Stay on Hwy 12 East towards Missoula until Mile Marker 75. Then follow the directions from “the Bridge” below.

From Missoula:
Interstate 90 to Reserve Street. Go South on Reserve and turn right on Hwy 93 south, and Hwy 12 west. At Lolo turn right on Hwy 12. Follow to Mile Marker 75 in Idaho, turn left and cross Clearwater river. Follow the directions from “the Bridge” below.

From Boise:
Go west on 84 until you reach 95. Go north on 95 for 3 hours until you get to Graingeville. Take a right on Hwy 13 and go through town and out into the countryside, down a steep windy grade into the valley. Follow the river for a while. Go through Stites. Go through Kooskia. Just after the white church on the far side of Kooskia, turn right onto a little 25mph road. A couple minutes later you’ll see a big steel bridge spanning the Clearwater River on the left. Follow the signs to FaithCamp.

From “the Bridge”
Just after Mile Marker 75 (76 if you’re coming west from Missoula), you’ll see an old steel bridge with a sign to the National Fish Hatchery. Cross that bridge (to your right if you’re driving east, left if your driving west) and take an immediate left turn. Follow that road with the river on your left. You’ll cross a little bridge and past the Fish Hatchery on your right. Go for another mile, then bear left at the “Y” (you’ll see a set of dumpsters on the right) onto Leitch Creek Road. Follow that up a windy canyon for about 5 miles until you come into a small open valley. Take “Doughty Lane” to the right (if you come to another “Y” with more dumpsters, you’ve gone to far) and go past a house on the right and on up over a little, steep hill. As you crest the hill, slow down and take the first right down a gravel driveway. Follow the driveway about a third of a mile and it will take you to FaithCamp. Someone will be there to help you choose a site for camping.

By Air
It’s closest to fly into Lewiston (about 2 hours from Faithcamp) and rent a car there. Spokane is cheaper but it’s a 4-hour drive to FaithCamp.
